With ARGON8M, the British manufacturer MODAL Electronics presents an 8-voice polyphonic wavetable synthesiser with 32 oscillators, revolutionary features and direct access to all sound-shaping parameters. The compact synth can be used either as a space-saving desktop module or - with the help of the enclosed rack adapters - also within a 19"-rack. Using an optional controller, the ARGON8M also sup ports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) for even more expressive performances. The crisp OLED display shows the settings of the currently selected controller and its effect on the sound. A total of 180 hand-picked wavetables in 36 banks are available to choose from, which can be morphed into each other. In addition, these can be changed drastically by 32 modifiers such as waveshaper, wavefolder and
