With ARGON8, the British manufacturer MODAL Electronics presents an 8-voice polyphonic wavetable synthesiser with 32 oscillators, revolutionary features and direct access to all sound-shaping parameters. ARGON8's 37 standard-size keys allow for velocity-sensitive and - via aftertouch - particularly expressive playing of sounds. Combined with an optional controller, ARGON8 also supports MPE (MIDI P olyphonic Expression) for even more expressive performances. The sharp OLED display shows the settings of the currently selected controller and its effects on the sound. A total of 180 hand-picked wavetables in 36 banks can be chosen from, which can be morphed into each other. In addition, these can be changed drastically with 32 modifiers such as waveshaper, wavefolder and phaseshaper. The morpha
