Oval C S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck
The S-TECH special roasted treatment increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. The neck is sealed with an oil finish which helps make it feel similar to a well-played guitar neck.

Ibanez TQM Pickups
Tom Quayle and Ibanez teamed up to develop the TQM-S single coil and TQM-H humbucker pickups. These pickups precisely reflect subtle playing nuances and produce a natural clean voicing that works well with various effect pedals. The TQM pickups are mandatory to realize the "Tom Quayle signature sound".
Gotoh® T1702B tremolo
The T1702B tremolo bridge provides quick response and improved articulation. The 10.5mm string spacing allows for easy picking across strings and its snap-in construction makes it easy to load a tremolo arm. The tremolo block and saddles are made of brass, facilitating better overall resonance.
dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch
The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations and can switch between humbucker and single coil modes with just a flick of the mini switch. One mode even simulates a humbucking sound from the combination of two single coil pickups.

Oil-impregnated Bone nut /Stainless Steel Frets
The Oil-impregnated bone nut provides superior tuning stability and warm rich resonance. Stainless steel frets boast excellent corrosion resistance. The wide and tall fret-type offers a quick response, good articulation when playing chords and clear tone when playing single notes.
Ergonomic rear body contour
A shallow body back contour and a big forearm contour make the guitar body fit the player naturally, thus increasing playing comfort. The AZ body has a deep waist and different radii on each body edge curve, making it easier to play in both standing or sitting positions.

GOTOH® MAGNUM LOCK® machine heads have an established reputation for tuning stability. Its H. A. P® (Height Adjustable Post). system allows for the adjustment of string posts for the appropriate tension of each string.

Switching System
When the alter switch is in neck position, two hum tap mode is on.
When the alter switch is in bridge position, two hum tap mode is off. Two hum tap mode means the neck and middle pickups are wired in series and functioning as a humbucker. When two hum tap mode is off and the pickup selector switch is in neck position, neck pickup is selected.
When the switch is in between neck and center position, neck and center pickups are selected.
When the switch is in center position, center position is selected.
When the switch is in between center and bridge position, center pickup and neck side of the bridge pickup are selected.
When the switch is in bridge position, the bridge pickup is selected. When two hum tap mode is on and the pickup selector switch is in neck position, the neck and center pickups are selected and they are in series.
When the switch is in between neck and center position the neck pickup and bridge side of the bridge pickup are selected.
When the switch is in center position, neck, center, and bridge pickups are selected; the neck and center pickups are in series mode.
When the switch is in between center and bridge position, the neck side of the bridge pickup is selected.
When the switch is in bridge position, the bridge pickup is selected.
Controls
With the guitar held in the playing position, there is one knob and one switch along the lower edge of the body.
Closest to the knee cutout is the five-way pickup selector switch.
Closest to the end of the body is the tone knob.
The volume knob is located right above the five-way pickup selector switch.
Between the volume and tone knobs is the alter switch.
