With these "Direct Mounted" models, FGN focuses on the simplicity and purism that was also cultivated in the 1980s. The Acacia Koa veneer top on an ash body provides the essential shred-guitar feeling. No pickguard, pickups screwed directly into the top, and a simple yet effective two-control unit. The coil-switch, which splits the humbucker, is almost a luxury in this context. Like all FGN models, this guitar features the Circle Fretting System and compound radius for superior intonation and playability.
