The Ibanez AS is a semi-acoustic guitar designed for virtually any musical genre, from jazz and blues to rock. Thanks to its sophisticated construction with pickups mounted directly on the center block, it offers impressive sustain and effective feedback suppression. First introduced in 2002, the Artcore series has established itself worldwide as a reliable hollow-body line for musicians. It represents the perfect balance of high-quality craftsmanship, impressive sound, and affordable price. Whether a classic jazz box or a versatile semi-hollow rocker, Artcore guitars are known for their warm tone, expressive feel, and enormous tonal range. The three-piece nyatoh and maple neck offers excellent resonance and emphasizes the mid to low frequencies. The rosewood fingerboard provides a balanced, focused tone with clear midrange presence, while the medium-high frets ensure precise playing and high comfort. The linden top, sides, and back give the guitar a natural, transparent sound with balanced response. The characteristic sound is provided by the Classic Elite pickups, which impress with their warm, nuanced tone and powerful bass foundation. The Gibraltar Performer bridge guarantees excellent tuning stability, sustain, and comfortable playability, while the artistically designed VT06 tailpiece offers additional stability and harmonic vibration. With the AS Artcore, Ibanez presents a versatile semi-acoustic guitar that combines traditional sound aesthetics with modern playability – an instrument that is at home in any style.
