An early TAMA original, the Gong Bass Drum utilizes a 22" drumhead, mounted Tympani style to a 20" shell with no bottom head. This design produces thunderous low-end with rich sustain - characteristic of the large Taiko drums of ancient Japan. The Gong Bass features a 7mm thick Starclassic Maple shell and Quick-Lock Tom Brackets. It is available in all Starclassic Maple finishes (Exotic/ Lacquer / Duracover Wrap).
