The Revv Generator 100R MKIII is for those who favor the latter. This 120-watt, 3-channel tube head is a veritable sludge factory, delivering thick, saturated tones that are guaranteed to pulverize. That said, the Generator 100R MKIII isn’t a toneless grunge machine. It includes an array of sonic-sculpting controls, including powerful, per-channel 3-band EQs that will ensure a well-tailored tone. You also get convenient power scaling, a serial effects loop for your pedals and processors, a studio-quality digital reverb and noise gate, and stage-worthy Bluetooth and MIDI control capabilities.

To top it off, the Generator 100R MKIII boasts a stereo-out reactive load and cabinet simulator, powered by Two Notes Torpedo-embedded technology. The Generator 100R MKIII is the perfect triple-digit-watt sonic flamethrower for thrash, death, doom, black, or sludge metal — as well as metalcore, deathcore, or grindcore; hardcore punk or crust punk; or even neoclassical, symphonic, or speed metal. BRIMMING WITH PLAYER-FRIENDLY FEATURES

The Generator 100R MKIII starts with three revoiced channels of signature Revv tone, including their Red channel, which is celebrated for its fat, saturated sound and punishing levels of gain. Per-channel 3-channel EQs eliminate tonal compromises when switching between clean, crunch, and high-gain tones. Global Wide, Drive, and Aggression switches put a myriad of saturated textures at your disposal. Bright switches add extra bite and presence when it’s called for, while midrange-sculpting Cut switches allow you to toggle between a bright, biting sound and a deeper, scooped-style distortion on the overdrive channels. You also get a Fat switch on the Red channel to thicken your high-gain tones.

Power scaling facilitates muscular tones at bedroom-friendly levels, while a serial effects loop accommodates your pedals and other processors. A configurable and bypassable digital reverb and noise gate yield a polished, studio-quality result. The Generator 100R MKIII plays well with a variety of cabinets, too, thanks to a switchable 4-/8-/16-ohm speaker jack. You also get an easily accessible bias test and fuse.

With just the Revv Generator 100R MKIII and a PA, you have everything you need to obtain a larger-than-life miked-cab tone, thanks to embedded Two Notes Torpedo technology and the amp head’s stereo XLR outputs. Select between six customizable virtual cabinets via the amp’s front panel; if that’s not enough for you, you can access up to 128 via MIDI as well. You can use the Generator 100R MKIII’s 6L6-loaded power amp or bypass it and change the amp’s character with a simulated power section. KT66s? 6V6s? EL84s? EL34s? The options are endless. You also get the Two Notes Twin Tracker stereo doubler, an equalizer, an enhancer, and more — all editable via Bluetooth. Best of all, the Generator 100R MKIII is a complete standalone solution: a reactive load automatically engages when a speaker isn’t present to safeguard your amp.
