The LTD AS-1FR is the signature model of Testament lead guitarist Alex Skolnick. Built with set-thru construction at a 24.75" scale, this guitar combines a mahogany body with a stunning flamed maple cap in a Lime Burst finish. The 3-piece maple neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard delivers a classic look with modern performance.
Tone & Playability
Equipped with a matched set of Seymour Duncan Alex Skolnick Signature humbuckers, the AS-1FR delivers rich, articulate tones perfect for jazz, fusion, and heavy metal alike. The U-shaped neck contour with 22 extra-jumbo frets and 305mm fingerboard radius provides fast, comfortable playability across the entire fretboard.
Pickups & Hardware
A Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo system ensures rock-solid tuning stability for aggressive whammy bar use, while Grover tuners and Dunlop Straploks add professional-grade reliability. The push/pull tone control enables coil-splitting for versatile single-coil tones on demand.
