In this spirit, Ibanez presents the AE series—the flagship of acoustic-electric guitars, combining outstanding sound, supreme playability, and another significant chapter in the history of acoustic guitars. The Comfort Grip Maple neck provides exceptional playability, while the Thermo Aged™ Ovangkol fingerboard is lighter, harder, and more stable thanks to a special drying process. The solid Sitka spruce top offers an enormous frequency range with shimmering highs, present mids, and full-bodied lows. The flamed maple back and sides not only add visual accents, but also ensure bright, defined tones. For natural and precise sound transmission, the AE series is equipped with the Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle Pickup, complemented by the AEQ-TP2 preamp with two-band EQ and integrated, easy-to-read tuner. The Thermo Aged™ ovangkol bridge insert in a scalloped design improves vibration transmission and increases resonance, while Ibanez Advantage™ bridge pins make handling much easier and ensure stable string seating. Special technologies such as the A.I.R.port system—an innovatively designed, precisely positioned resonance channel—enable a clearer perception of the sound when playing. The X-M bracing, the result of years of development, optimizes the transmission of string vibrations and ensures clear bass, brilliant treble, and a balanced, warm midrange with a wide dynamic range. The overall concept is rounded off by the modern AE body shape, which perfectly combines projection, balance, and playing comfort.
