Suhr’s SS series — “Single Screw” — humbuckers are built upon the authentic, time-tested pairing of adjustable screw-pole pieces with a matching row of slug poles, injected with the company’s indelible engineering to cover a versatile, voltaic tonal array.
The SSV has a broad sonic aperture with very little compression, making for a dynamic, vintage output humbucker. The SSV Neck is a versatile pickup that combines the warmth of a vintage humbucker with increased clarity and definition. The SSV Bridge is similar to the SSV neck in tone, but wound hotter for more output, increased sustain and a sweet midrange response.
The SSV+ is like a great vintage humbucker with an attitude. Brighter than the SSV, it provides the best attributes of highly sought-after vintage PAF-style pickups with the extra kick needed to cut through a dense mix, the SSV+ is superb for covering a wide range of genres.
